Peter Griffin
Peter is the husband and father of the Griffin family and protagonist of the show. Peter is an obese, blue-collar worker whose antics often get him into trouble. Peter is also an alcoholic and frequently gets drunk with his friends at the Drunken Clam.
Lois Griffin
Lois is the mother and wife of the Griffin family. Though initially portrayed as a stereotypical American mom and housewife, Lois does have some dark aspects to her, which are more evident in later seasons.
Meg Griffin
Meg is the daughter of Peter and Lois and sister of Chris and Stewie. Meg is 18 years old, the eldest child of her family, voiced by Mila Kunis, and goes to Adam West High School, where she is the target of bullying and abuse, mostly from her family.
Chris Griffin
Chris is the eldest son and brother of Meg and Stewie. Chris is 15 years old, voiced by Seth Green, and carries some of Peter’s traits. Chris attends Adam West High School, alongside his older sister Meg, and is often seen as unintelligent and foolish in the school environment. Running gags involving Chris include the “evil monkey” in his closet and their neighbor Herbert, who at times has an inappropriate attachment to him.
Brian Griffin
Brian is the anthropomorphic white Labrador of the family. He is voiced by Seth MacFarlane (who uses his natural speaking voice for Brian), can speak intelligently, operate a vehicle, and walk bipedally. Brian is known for his novels he has written, as well as his dating life and liberal political views. He is practically a cartoon version of Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, who both share many things in common.
Stewie Griffin
Stewie is the eccentric and genius infant of Peter and Lois. Stewie is flamboyant and much more mentally older for his age, with a close relationship with Brian, his teddy bear Rupert, and Chris. He had previously sought for world domination and the killing of his mother, Lois, but in recent seasons demonstrates more of an intention to bond with his family and go on adventures with them.
